South Walton Wins Tribe Invitational for Second Straight Year

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. – September 20, 2025 – South Walton repeated as champions of the Tribe Invitational at Choctawhatchee High School, sweeping four matches to secure the tournament crown for the second consecutive season. The Seahawks defeated Destin, Baker, North Bay Haven, and Daphne (Ala.) to complete the 4–0 run and improve to 7–6 overall.

Junior outside hitter Maci Jones led the way with a team-high 44 kills and 21 digs across the two-day event, delivering steady production from start to finish. Senior middle blocker Jordyn Swift turned in one of her finest weekends as a Seahawk, hitting .517 with 34 kills and nine aces. She set the tone in the championship match against Daphne, posting 12 kills in the final alone while anchoring the net.

Senior outside hitter Ella Driggers had her strongest outing of the season, finishing with 27 kills, 13 digs, and three aces. She also rose in the title match with 10 kills, providing senior leadership in pressure moments.

Junior setter Evelyn Brandman, fresh off her program-record career assist milestone, distributed 86 assists and added 28 digs and 12 aces. Senior libero Kamryn Garcia anchored the back row with 20 digs and four aces. Junior opposite Corinne O’Connell chipped in 7 kills and 19 digs, while sophomore middle blocker Ava Hummel added 3 kills and two blocks. Junior outside hitter Macey Waldrop recorded 7 digs, and junior middle blocker Laurali Douglass saw action in one set.

As a team, South Walton totaled 137 kills, 86 assists, 128 digs, 25 aces, and 12 blocks across the four matches. The back-to-back Tribe Invitational title reinforced the Seahawks’ ability to deliver in championship settings while sharpening their momentum for the upcoming FHSAA Class 4A district campaign.

About South Walton Volleyball: South Walton High School competes in FHSAA Class 4A District 1 under head coach Meaghan Allen. The program has established itself as a consistent playoff contender, reaching the Class 4A Elite 8 last season and winning five straight district championships since 2019.
