South Walton Sweeps North Bay Haven for Second Straight Win
SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. – September 5, 2025 – South Walton delivered a balanced, all-around performance Thursday night, sweeping North Bay Haven 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17). The victory evened the Seahawks’ record at 3-3 and marked their second straight win.
The team effort was evident across the board, with nearly every player making a contribution. Junior outside hitter Maci Jones powered the offense with 16 kills on 50 swings, while junior setter Evelyn Brandman directed the attack with 32 assists and added 11 digs.
Senior outside hitter Ella Driggers turned in one of her best matches of the year, finishing with 7 kills on .278 hitting and 5 digs. Senior middle blocker Jordyn Swift also notched 7 kills to go with 2 blocks, and junior middle blocker Laurali Douglass chipped in 9 kills and 3 blocks.
On the defensive side, senior libero Kamryn Garcia led with 18 digs and steady serve receive, while senior defensive specialist Annabelle Centeno added 7 digs and key ball control plays. From the service line, Centeno led with 4 aces on 19 attempts, Driggers and Jones each contributed key runs, and Brandman added a consistent serving night.
As a unit, South Walton totaled 39 kills, 36 assists, 44 digs, 8 total blocks, and 7 aces. Brandman is off to a torrid pace with 175 assists in six matches, with Jones as her primary target, eclipsing 100 kills on the young season.
The Seahawks improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in District 1. They return to action on Tuesday, September 9, with a road match at Mosley.
