South Walton Captures Sixth Straight District Title with Sweep of Bay
Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. — October 16, 2025
South Walton Volleyball captured its sixth consecutive district championship Thursday night, sweeping Bay High 3–0 (25–7, 25–10, 25–18) to close out the Class 4A District 1 tournament in dominant fashion.
Junior outside hitter Maci Jones led the way once again, finishing with 23 kills on .513 hitting across 39 swings while adding 12 serve receptions at a 2.17 rating and perfect serving from the line. Senior middle blocker Jordyn Swift was equally dominant at the net, posting 8 kills with no errors on 12 attempts (.667) and a block assist as the Seahawks controlled play from start to finish.
Senior setter Evelyn Brandman directed the offense with 37 assists and 11 digs, while senior libero Kamryn Garcia steadied the back row with 12 digs and an 85.7 percent serving mark. Senior outside hitter Ella Driggers added 4 kills and 3 aces, and junior middle Ava Hummel chipped in 4 kills and 2 blocks as South Walton’s depth carried them through a composed third set.
With the victory, South Walton secured its sixth straight district championship under Head Coach Meaghan Allen and advances to the FHSAA Class 4A State Playoffs, where the Seahawks will await seeding and their first-round opponent.
About South Walton Volleyball
South Walton High School competes in FHSAA Class 4A District 1 under head coach Meaghan Allen. The program has established itself as a consistent playoff contender, reaching the Class 4A Elite 8 last season and winning six straight district championships since 2019.
