South Walton Battles 6A Beachside, Sweeps Lincoln in Tallahassee Tri-Match
South Walton split Saturday's Tallahassee tri-match, pushing 6A Beachside before falling 3-1 and closing the day with a 3-0 sweep of 5A Lincoln.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - August 22, 2026 - South Walton split a pair of road matches Saturday, pushing 6A Beachside before falling 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 11-25, 22-25) and closing the day with a 3-0 sweep of 5A Lincoln (25-16, 25-22, 25-17) in a tri-match format at Lincoln High School.
The Seahawks struck first against a Beachside team that entered the day unbeaten at 4-0, taking the opening set 25-23. Senior outside hitter Maci Jones, a Southern Miss commit, turned an ankle early in that set, returned after being taped up, and played all four sets anyway, finishing with a team-high 15 kills and 18 digs.
Senior setter Evelyn Brandman distributed 29 assists with 3 aces, and senior outside hitter Sydney Downing added 9 kills and 8 digs. Junior middle blocker Ava Hummel was the most efficient Seahawk attacker with 7 kills on .250 hitting, while senior Corinne O'Connell contributed 4 kills, 8 digs, and steady serve receive on a team-high 32 receptions. Senior libero Lindsay McMahan added 10 digs and 2 aces, senior Macey Waldrop dug 9 balls in the back row, junior setter Bianca Savi served an ace, and sophomore middle blocker Henley Beauchamp added a block.
With Jones sidelined for the nightcap, the Seahawks answered with their most complete team performance of the day, holding Lincoln to 22 kills across three sets and closing out the sweep behind balanced serving and defense. The split moved South Walton to 2-1 against a schedule that has yet to ease up.
The Seahawks continue road play Tuesday at 5A Mosley.
