South Walton Seahawks Volleyball Set for Another Run in 2025
Santa Rosa Beach, FL — The South Walton Seahawks Volleyball program enters the 2025 season with high expectations, returning a strong core of experienced players and a tradition of postseason success. Under the leadership of Head Coach Meaghan Allen, now in her seventh season at the helm, the Seahawks look to extend their reputation as a perennial playoff contender with significant Elite 8 experience, and this year the goal is clear: push through to the next level.
Last season, South Walton once again advanced to the Class 4A Elite 8, continuing a remarkable run of deep playoff appearances that have made the program one of the Panhandle’s most respected. With a talented senior class, experienced underclassmen stepping into larger roles, and the team’s trademark defensive toughness, the Seahawks are built for another postseason charge.
"Our goals don’t change. We expect to play at a championship level every time we step on the court," said Allen. "This group works hard, they’re disciplined, and they understand what it takes to win in October."
The 2025 schedule is the toughest Coach Allen has assembled since arriving at South Walton, featuring high-caliber opponents from larger classifications including powerhouse 5A and 6A programs. This challenging slate is designed to push the Seahawks early, sharpen their game, and ensure they are battle-tested when playoff time arrives.
The Seahawks open the year with a preseason tournament on Saturday, August 16 at Chiles High School in Tallahassee. The regular season home opener follows on Tuesday, August 19 in the Hawks' Nest against Pace High School, giving fans their first chance to see the team in action on home court.
Home matches at the South Walton High School gym will once again deliver a high-energy atmosphere fueled by one of the most passionate fan bases in the region. The season will also feature Senior Night, celebrating the leadership and contributions of this year’s graduating class.
